Gerold Fischer,
a German computer scientist and former computer chess programmer. He is author of the chess program Heureka, which played the WMCCC 1996 in Jakarta, and was registered for the WMCCC 1997 in Paris [2], when Fischer withdrew in favour to the late registered MChess, as suggested by Fischer's partner and Goliath author Michael Borgstädt [3].
