Aleš Zamuda,
a Slovenian computer scientist and assistant professor at Computer Architecture and Languages Laboratory [2], Institute of Computer Science at University of Maribor, where he received his B.Sc., M.Sc., and Ph.D. degrees in 2006, 2008, and 2012, respectively.
His research interests include multi-objective optimization,
evolutionary computation and differential evolution, artificial life, and computer animation.
He is inventor of Differential Evolution for Parameterized Procedural Woody Plant Models Reconstruction within Environmental Framework to Visualize Emergent Artificial Forest Ecosystems [3], an approach for reconstruction of procedural three-dimensional models of woody plants (trees). also topic of his Ph.D. thesis [4].
As computer games programmer, Aleš is author of the open source chess engine QuTeChess under the GNU General Public License [5], and further wrote Reversi and Connect Four programs [6].
